The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes scores with a hook to the body. Whoa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fernandes misses with a body kick.
Fernandes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fernandes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice jab there from Whoa.
Whoa steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Fernandes. That one must have hurt.
Whoa throws a shot to the body.
Whoa lands with a hook. Fernandes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Paulo Fernandes has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Whoa checks a leg kick.
A big left from Whoa misses.
Fernandes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Whoa pinned against the cage. Whoa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fernandes tries to clinch but Whoa moves out of range.

Whoa misses with a lunging right hand
and Fernandes makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Whoa really felt that one!
Whoa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fernandes.
Whoa misses with a series of wild punches.
Fernandes tries to clinch but Whoa moves out of range.
Fernandes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whoa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Whoa on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fernandes takes one to the chin there.
Fernandes works the jab nicely.

Whoa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fernandes tries a head kick but it misses.
Fernandes throws a leg kick but Whoa sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Whoa blocks a low kick nicely.
Fernandes is still on wobbly legs! Can Whoa finish him?
Whoa stuffs the takedown attempt from Fernandes. Fernandes gets slowly back to his feet.
Like Whoa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Fernandes.
Fernandes tries a head kick but it misses.
Fernandes seems to have recovered his senses.
Fernandes throws a half hearted mid kick.
Fernandes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Whoa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fernandes looks gassed!

Whoa cracks Fernandes with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Whoa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fernandes to stand back up!

That has opened up Paulo Fernandes's cut even more.
Fernandes is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Whoa just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Fernandes has gone limp, and this one is over!
