Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tito Ecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Cowlam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ecker's entrance music is virus of life. A fine choice. Cowlam has chosen Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Cant Stop as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tito Ecker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Cowlam!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ecker closes the distance and pushes Cowlam back into the cage.
Cowlam wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ecker has him pressed against the cage.
Ecker tries to land knees in the clinch but Cowlam avoids the damage to the body.
Ecker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Cowlam avoiding damage as Ecker throws knees to the body.
Cowlam looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cowlam tries to circle away but Ecker has him pinned against the cage.
Ecker landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Ecker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cowlam backwards.

Cowlam tries for a takedown but Ecker manages to get underhooks.
Ecker gets underhooks to prevent Cowlam's takedown attempt.
Cowlam is trying to break the clinch but Ecker has him pressed against the cage.

Ecker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cowlam thows a body shot but no joy.
Tito Ecker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ecker tries to clinch up but Cowlam circles away and keeps his distance.

Ecker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ecker lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Cowlam is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Tito Ecker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Cowlam.

Ecker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ecker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cowlam is trying to control Ecker's posture but Ecker avoids it.
Cowlam is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ecker is staying active.
Ecker fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ecker is looking to take a break and control but Cowlam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cowlam is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ecker is controlling him well.

Ecker swings around for an armbar but Cowlam sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ecker's guard.

Ecker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Cowlam puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Cowlam is thwarting Ecker's attempts to control the position.
Ecker looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tito Ecker wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Ecker misses with a straight right.

Ecker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cowlam, pushing him back against the cage.
Cowlam goes for a takedown attempt but Ecker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ecker tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Cowlam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cowlam swats away the attempt to clinch by Ecker.
Ecker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cowlam closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ecker to the mat! Ecker manages to get full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jamie Cowlam hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The fighters circling - Cowlam throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cowlam swats away the attempt to clinch by Ecker.
Ecker tries to clinch but Cowlam moves out of range.

and Cowlam counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tito Ecker will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Cowlam shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ecker as he jumps to the side.

Ecker manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Ecker tries to kick Cowlam off but Cowlam keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Ecker is doing well to control the position and prevent Cowlam from advancing to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cowlam jumps guard but Ecker stands there with Cowlam around his waist. Cowlam gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ecker keeps control of Cowlam as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cowlam has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ecker can't get the takedown.

Cowlam tries to break the clinch but Ecker is controlling the position.
Ecker throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
