The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Knyto Gruffo has been cut.
Gruffo blocks a leg kick.

Motive swings for the body but Gruffo moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gruffo feints and then cracks Motive's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Motive down.
Gruffo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Gruffo misses with a wild body shot.
Motive lands a two punch combo.

Motive throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Motive takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Motive throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gruffo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice straight punches there by Gruffo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gruffo.

Gruffo wants to clinch up but Motive keeps it at a distance.

Motive takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Motive blocks a leg kick.
Motive avoids a kick to the body.
Motive throws a shot from downtown. Gruffo moves away and avoids it.
Gruffo misses the jab.
Motive cracks Gruffo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gruffo swings for the body but Motive moves out of range.
Bobby Motive seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Motive moves out of range as Gruffo throws a body kick.

Motive throws a solid leg kick but Gruffo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Motive.

Gruffo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gruffo clobbers Motive with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Motive throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Motive throws a chopping leg kick but Gruffo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Gruffo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gruffo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Knyto Gruffo's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gruffo looks to land a right hand but Motive moved out of range.
Motive takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Motive thows a body shot but no joy.
Motive throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Motive misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Motive defending well as Gruffo loads up on a big left hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Motive crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gruffo - the referee stops the clock and Motive gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gruffo. Motive manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gruffo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Motive's sensitive parts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slow jab from Motive misses its intended target.
Motive keeps the fight on the outside.
Motive walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gruffo lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Motive falls backwards - clearly groggy! Gruffo dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
