The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Abbott Jr both land. Nice combination.
No luck for Abbott Jr with that takedown attempt.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abbott Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Abbott Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lesnar defends well.
Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abbott Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that David Abbott Jr will probably get the nod.

Lesnar connects with a couple of short punches.
Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Abbott Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Abbott Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lesnar is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brock Lesnar was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Abbott Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A jab-cross combination lands for Abbott Jr and sends Lesnar crashing to the mat! Abbott Jr follows him down to the mat - Lesnar regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Abbott Jr here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Abbott Jr is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Lesnar is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Abbott Jr lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lesnar quite badly. Lesnar pulls Abbott Jr in close trying to recover. Abbott Jr postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lesnar on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lesnar doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
