Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Sabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sabu comes to the cage accompanied by SIC. Corey Sabu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jake Sweet's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Sweet!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweet has his takedown stuffed

and Sabu moves into the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sabu enables Sweet to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sabu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sweet has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sabu is proving hard to escape from.
Sweet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sweet pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Sweet fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sweet circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sabu tries to sprawl but Sweet drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Sweet seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Sabu wants to get back to his feet.
Sweet wants to stand up but Sabu is controlling the position.
Sweet tries to stand and escape but Sabu actually recovers to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sweet wanted to stand there but Sabu had control of the position.

Sabu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sweet lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sabu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sabu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Sweet shoots in but Sabu avoids the takedown attempt easily.

I would just about give that final round to Jake Sweet.
I've got Sweet winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
