The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakala has his takedown stuffed
and Clooten counters with a straight right hand.
Hakala doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Clooten counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Nice uppercut lands for Clooten. That snapped Hakala's head back.
Hakala with a lazy takedown attempt
and Clooten counters with a three punch combo that has Hakala backing up. Hakala nods at Clooten to acknowledge the strikes.
Matt Clooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Makke Hakala.
Hakala doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Clooten connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Clooten counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Clooten counters with a body kick.
Hakala has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hakala there as he acknowledges the shot.

A left lands for Clooten.
Clooten takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Clooten gets a clinch.

Clooten breaks from the clinch.
Hakala closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Clooten lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hakala needs to keep his hands up - Clooten had a free shot at his head there.

Clooten scores with a jab. Hakala acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Clooten has Hakala up against the cage in a clinch.

Clooten is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Hakala is trying desperately to land a takedown but Clooten is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hakala.

Clooten is working for a kimura but Hakala is defending it quite comfortably.
Clooten is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hakala is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
