Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Engrle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stan Engrle!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engrle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Putin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Engrle is fending him off so far but Putin persists. Nope, Engrle circles away and we're back to standing.
Putin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Engrle throws a head kick that misses.

Putin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Engrle on his heels. He'll look to pass Engrle's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Engrle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Putin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Putin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Engrle avoids it really well and circles away.

Engrle throws a sloppy head kick and Putin moves out of range easily.
Putin closes the distance and clinches up with Engrle, looking for a takedown. Putin pushes Engrle against the cage but Engrle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Putin tries to close the distance and clinch but Engrle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Engrle throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Putin blocks it with crossed arms.

Putin jumps into guard, dragging Engrle to the mat.

Engrle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Putin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Engrle has managed to get both his arms back between Putin's legs - danger averted.

Putin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Engrle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Engrle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Putin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Engrle defends well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Engrle has Putin pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Putin is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Engrle - that's hurt Putin badly! Oh, another knee lands and Putin is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Putin doesn't seem to be complaining.
