The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punga shoots and misses

and Nepgen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Punga's guard.
Punga looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Nepgen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nepgen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nepgen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Punga swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punga has a closed guard, preventing Nepgen from standing up.
Nepgen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Punga's head.
Nepgen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Punga's head.

Punga is looking for a triangle here but Nepgen uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Nepgen lands some shots froms side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nepgen cracks Punga with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Nepgen lands a strong strike to the head of Punga. That's dazed him! Nepgen looking to finish here. Punga is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Nepgen lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
