The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Rasputin misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rasputin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

It looks like Barry Smith has been cut.
Rasputin is looking to chop away at Smith's legs.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Rasputin for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Smith is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rasputin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Smith.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rasputin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Rasputin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.

Barry Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rasputin feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
Piotr Rasputin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Rasputin gets through Smith's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Barry Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rasputin pushes Smith against the cage. Rasputin is working some dirty boxing. Rasputin pushes off with a quick right hook! Smith goes down! Smith tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Rasputin moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
