The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doomsday lands a jab to the head.

Doomsday shoots in and bounces Jacquar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Doomsday stands and steps away. Jacquar gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

so Doomsday counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Doomsday is looking to work some ground and pound but Jacquar has wrist control.

Doomsday keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jacquar's head.

Doomsday gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jacquar tries to roll over but Doomsday keeps him under control.

Doomsday seems to be working for a kimura but Jacquar defends the submission attempt.
Jacquar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doomsday is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jacquar flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Doomsday prevents Jacquar from improving his position.
Doomsday landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Doomsday closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Doomsday has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jacquar is not content to let Doomsday control the position.
Jacquar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Doomsday decides to take the fight back to the feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Doomsday pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Doomsday throws a wild body kick that Jacquar sees coming a mile off.

and Doomsday counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jacquar won't be happy with that.

Doomsday decides to stand back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Doomsday doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Doomsday misses with the combination.
Jacquar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Doomsday counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Doomsday stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacquar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Doomsday decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jacquar, up you get!

Doomsday lands with a big left! Jacquar is wobbled badly! Doomsday comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Jacquar to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
