Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Brother Louie. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Macintosh.

Macintosh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Velasquez to the ground. Macintosh is now in Velasquez's guard.
Velasquez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Velasquez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Macintosh lands a couple of digs.
Macintosh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Macintosh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Macintosh wants to pass the guard but Velasquez is keeping the position.
Macintosh wants to control from the top but Velasquez keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macintosh throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Macintosh thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Macintosh trying to control but Velasquez is working from the bottom.
Macintosh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Velasquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Velasquez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Macintosh drops back, looking for a kneebar! Velasquez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Velasquez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Velasquez!
Macintosh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Velasquez off and has taken his back!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Macintosh is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Velasquez has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Macintosh has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Velasquez taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Macintosh doesn't care though - he's delighted!
