The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chestnut dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sosnowski falls off balance throwing a combination
and Chestnut counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chestnut works over Sosnowski's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Andrei Sosnowski has been cut.
Chestnut swings for the body but Sosnowski moves out of range.
Sosnowski on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sosnowski misses with a wild combination.
Sosnowski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chestnut finds it's way round the side to connect with Sosnowski's head.
Sosnowski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chestnut sprawls well. Chestnut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sosnowski gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sosnowski shoots in looking for a takedown. Chestnut tries to sprawl out of it but Sosnowski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chestnut manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Chestnut catches Sosnowski with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Sosnowski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chestnut as he avoids it easily.

Sosnowski with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chestnut to score with a decent uppercut.

Chestnut scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Chestnut clobbers Sosnowski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Sosnowski shoots in looking for a takedown but Chestnut manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sosnowski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sosnowski takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sosnowski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Chestnut scores with a jab. Sosnowski acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Sosnowski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chestnut did well to prevent Sosnowski getting side control.
Sosnowski misses with a head shot. Chestnut uses the momentum to regain guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Chestnut lands a right hook to the body.
Sosnowski takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chestnut throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sosnowski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chestnut's waist but Chestnut gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sosnowski off to one side.
Chestnut ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sosnowski moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chestnut enables Sosnowski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chestnut manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sosnowski postures up in Chestnut's guard and throws a big left but Chestnut blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chestnut lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sosnowski!

Chestnut tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chestnut gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Chestnut wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sosnowski has him pressed against the cage.

Chestnut's corner calls for a 1-2. Chestnut obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Chestnut misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sosnowski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chestnut pulls Sosnowski in close to his closed guard and prevents Sosnowski from doing any damage or advancing position.

Sosnowski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chestnut sprawls well initially but Sosnowski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andrei Sosnowski will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chestnut lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sosnowski has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sosnowski and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
