The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tachia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bagaganja lands a jab to Tachia's midsection.
Tachia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lyoto Tachia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Bagaganja throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Tachia chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bagaganja can pounce on him.

Bagaganja tries to bum rush Tachia with a series of wild strikes but Tachia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bagaganja tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tachia was well out of range. Poor timing from Bagaganja.
Bagaganja connects with a single shot there.
Tachia throws a nice looking combination but Bagaganja bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tachia misses with a hook. Bagaganja ducked under it nicely.
Tachia pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tachia checks a leg kick.
Tachia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bagaganja moves away.

and Bagaganja counters with a body kick that stops Tachia in his tracks momentarily.

Tachia is breathing heavily.
Bagaganja throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed right hand from Tachia misses the target.
Tachia takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tachia digs a good body shot into Bagaganja's ribs.
Bagaganja thuds a left hand into Tachia's body.

Bagaganja dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tachia. That did some damage!

Tachia takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bagaganja dives in and grabs Tachia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tachia pushes down on Bagaganja's head and hops out.
A punch lands to the side of Tachia 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bagaganja scores with a kick to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bagaganja changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tachia tries to avoid it but Bagaganja manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tachia to the ground. Tachia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bagaganja misses with a few strikes there.
Tachia thows a body shot but no joy.
Tachia misses with a left hand
and Bagaganja counters with a good, hard body kick but Tachia shrugs it off.
Bagaganja changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bagaganja tries to land a front kick but Tachia steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Bagaganja drops Tachia with a left right combo! Bagaganja follows him down to the ground into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tachia is looking to reverse the position.
Oh Tachia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bagaganja scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Tachia is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Bagaganja can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
