PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anton Viper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Draven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Viper takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Viper connects with a body shot that sends Draven's belly button to the back.

Viper feints and as Draven raises his hands in defense, Viper changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Draven pulls Viper in close to prevent any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Viper has Draven pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Viper pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Draven tumbling to the mat - Viper dives into Draven's guard.

Eric Draven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
