Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Kash!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ernesto Bonjasky!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonjasky looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bonjasky swinging wilding here.
Kash blocks a head kick by Bonjasky.
Kash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bonjasky misses the shot to the body.

Kash looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bonjasky pulls Kash in close to prevent any damage.
Kash thows a big elbow that misses.
Kash wants to stand but Bonjasky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bonjasky wants to stand but Kash is controlling the position.
Bonjasky seems keen to control Kash's posture.
Kash wants to control from the top but Bonjasky keeps moving.
Kash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bonjasky swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kash is working hard here to advance position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bonjasky.
Kash shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bonjasky as he jumps to the side.
Bonjasky throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kash is breathing heavily.
Bonjasky feints and then cracks Kash's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kash down.
Bonjasky cracks the inside of Kash's front leg.
Bonjasky lands a body shot.
Bonjasky lands a head kick!


It looks like Jason Kash has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bonjasky throws a sloppy head kick and Kash moves out of range easily.
Bonjasky tries a head kick but it misses.
Bonjasky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kash throws a leg kick
and Bonjasky counters with a nice uppercut.
Bonjasky explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kash doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bonjasky counters with a leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Kash. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kash closes the distance but Bonjasky moves to the side
and Bonjasky counters with a nice kick to the body.
Bonjasky moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kash closes the distance but Bonjasky moves to the side
and Kash takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bonjasky scoring well with a low kick there.

Kash darts in and clinches Bonjasky up against the cage.

Kash tightens his grip and picks Bonjasky up, before dumping him to the ground. Bonjasky manages to land in guard.

Bonjasky is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Kash goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bonjasky prevents it.
Bonjasky avoiding damage as Kash throws knees to the body.
Kash can't break the clinch.
Kash tries to pull guard but Bonjasky won't allow it.
Kash lands a shot to the body.
Bonjasky keeps control of Kash as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Bonjasky prevents the takedown attempt.
Kash drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bonjasky pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bonjasky looks to throw the jab but Kash is out of range.

Kash has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kash tries to clinch up
and Bonjasky counters with a flying knee. Nice.


Kash is rocked!
Ernesto Bonjasky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bonjasky with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Oh Kash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bonjasky bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kash seems to have got his legs back now.
Kash darts in trying to clinch
and Bonjasky counters with a good, hard body kick but Kash shrugs it off.
Jason Kash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kash misses with a head kick.

Kash shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kash thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bonjasky's head.
Kash seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Kash tries to stand and escape but Bonjasky actually recovers to full guard.
Bonjasky utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bonjasky scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kash lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bonjasky steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kash.
Bonjasky tries a head kick but it misses.
Bonjasky tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kash tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Bonjasky counters with a nice kick to the body.
Kash tries for a takedown but Bonjasky sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bonjasky misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kash.
Bonjasky throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kash stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bonjasky.
Nice body kick from Bonjasky.
Kash shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bonjasky as he jumps to the side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bonjasky connects with a high kick.


Jason Kash's cut is getting worse.

Kash shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bonjasky's guard.
Kash has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kash trying to control but Bonjasky is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kash wants to stand but Bonjasky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ernesto Bonjasky dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jason Kash's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Bonjasky counters with a one-two to the body.
Jason Kash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kash shoots in and drives through. Bonjasky sprawls well.
Kash looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kash shoots in for a takedown but Bonjasky shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Kash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bonjasky tries to avoid it but Kash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bonjasky to the ground. Bonjasky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bonjasky lands a nice looking body kick.
Kash is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kash has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bonjasky.
Kash shoots in looking for a takedown. Bonjasky tries to sprawl out of it but Kash keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bonjasky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ernesto Bonjasky seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bonjasky throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bonjasky swats away the attempt to clinch by Kash.
Kash fails to land the takedown.
Kash throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bonjasky counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kash is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kash will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Kash tries to clinch up
and Bonjasky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kash is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Kash takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bonjasky circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bonjasky lands a big head kick that sends Kash to the canvas! Bonjasky follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ernesto Bonjasky! Ernesto Bonjasky retains his heavyweight title!
