The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Silva.
Mitrione misses with a low kick.
Mitrione takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Silva avoids a kick to the body.

Silva forces Mitrione back against the cage and clinches.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mitrione was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mitrione throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mitrione off to one side.

Mitrione tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silva rushes Mitrione and presses him up against the cage.
Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Mitrione leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Matt Mitrione is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mitrione feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Mitrione then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Silva throws a leg kick which misses Mitrione's front leg but catches the back leg as Mitrione tries to avoid it.
Mitrione throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break Mitrione's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mitrione utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Mitrione counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mitrione has a takedown stuffed.
No joy there for Mitrione, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Silva takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mitrione has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Mitrione sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mitrione tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Matt Mitrione is winning the standup battle so far.
A right-left combo lands from Mitrione.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mitrione slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Mitrione manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Silva takes the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mitrione is defending well for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Mitrione jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Mitrione gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Mitrione. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mitrione displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.

BulletTooth Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
