Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Homo Erectus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kopacz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Kopacz!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopacz tries to clinch but Erectus is having none of it.

Erectus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kopacz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kopacz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kopacz throws a right hand that Erectus ducks under and follows up with a left that Erectus also avoids with ease.

and Erectus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Erectus cracks Kopacz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Erectus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Kopacz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Erectus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Roman Kopacz will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kopacz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kopacz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kopacz tries to close the distance and clinch but Erectus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kopacz drops his hands momentarily and Erectus takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kopacz feints a jab promting Erectus to slip. Kopacz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Erectus slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Roman Kopacz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kopacz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
