The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Severn counters with a single leg into guard. Martin didn't expect that.

Martin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Severn has picked Martin up and slammed him! Martin can't keep hold of the triangle and Severn manages to pass to side control!

Severn is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Martin's shoulder. That is not cool.

Severn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Severn connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Martin some visible discomfort.
Severn is chipping away with strikes.
Severn remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Severn! Martin is hurt baaadly! Severn is firing away with more strikes - Martin is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
