The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Max scores with a nice right hand.
Ruiz really is a fat lump.
Some wild striking there from Ruiz.
Max misses with a two punch combination.
Ruiz scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Michael Max has been cut.
Max scores with a hook to the body. Ruiz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Max stalks Ruiz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ruiz's face. Ruiz staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Max is looking to clinch but Ruiz is avoiding it.
A right-left combo lands from Max.
It looks like Nacho Ruiz has been cut.
Ruiz throws a jab when Max was well out of range.
Ruiz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Max lands with a shot to the body.
Max tries to bum rush Ruiz with a series of wild strikes but Ruiz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Max throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Max on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ruiz. Max does a little dance to reset his feet.
Max scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Max counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Max is working the combinations to good effect here.

Max looks to throw the jab but Ruiz is out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ruiz throws a shot from downtown. Max moves away and avoids it.
A big left from Ruiz misses.
Ruiz tries to clinch but Max is having none of it.
Max takes one to the side of the head.
Ruiz looks to score with a jab to the body but Max is just out of range.
Ruiz cracks Max on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Max falls backwards against the cage. Ruiz follows up with more strikes that drop Max to his knees. Ruiz keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Max! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nacho Ruiz!
