The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yokohama throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Yokohama finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Yokohama throwing strikes but missing.
Diaz is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Yokohama has his hands clasped together but Diaz extends an breaks Yokohama's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Diaz.
