The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a right hand that Pasanen ducks under and follows up with a left that Pasanen also avoids with ease.
Brown takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice takedown defense from Brown. No joy for Pasanen on that attempt.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pasanen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
Brown throws a looping overhand right but Pasanen ducks down to avoid it.
Pasanen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Pasanen misses with a body shot.
Brown misses with a looping left.
Brown throws a jab but it's blocked by Pasanen.
Brown throws a right and a left that Pasanen avoids nicely.
Joseph Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pasanen.
Brown throws a body punch but Pasanen moves out of range.

Brown throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pasanen counters with a good, hard body kick but Brown shrugs it off.
Pasanen throws out a leg kick but Brown moves out of range and Pasanen only half commits.
Pasanen misses with a body kick.
Pasanen throws a lazy right hand but Brown sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pasanen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Pasanen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brown is fending him off so far but Pasanen persists. Nope, Brown circles away and we're back to standing.
Joseph Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lauri Pasanen.

Pasanen throws a leg kick but Brown moved away.
Brown misses with a wild combination.
Pasanen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Brown throws a poor cross that misses
and Pasanen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brown!

Pasanen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brown because Pasanen loaded up on that one.

Pasanen is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Brown is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Brown flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Pasanen anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Brown and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Pasanen slips an arm under Brown chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Pasanen has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Pasanen is squeezing on Brown like an anaconda would it's prey. Brown fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
