Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Oliveira tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oliveira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Oliveira looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Oliveira swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Oliveira didn't expect that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Oliveira is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Silva wants to control from the top but Oliveira keeps moving.
Silva looks gassed!
Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Silva stops Oliveira from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Oliveira is keeping the position.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliveira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Oliveira kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anderson Silva.
Oliveira lands the left hand.
Oliveira fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab lands there for Oliveira.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oliveira connects with a body shot that sends Silva's belly button to the back.
Oliveira lands a slapping body shot.
Oliveira misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oliveira scores with a hook to the body. Silva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Oliveira.
Silva takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oliveira throws a combination. Silva tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That has opened up Anderson Silva's cut even more.
Oliveira misses with a hook
and Silva counters with a nice body shot.
Oliveira scores with a hook to the body. Silva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Oliveira tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Silva is rocked!
Oliveira ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Oliveira finish him?
A looping hook to the body misses from Oliveira. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Oliveira connects with a right that clearly hurt Silva. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Oliveira proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Silva collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Oliveira!
