Fortez has chosen Onward To Victory as his entrance music. Harry Fortez looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fortez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kartel taking some punishment here, with Fortez in his half guard.

Kartel looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Kartel is trying to control but Fortez manages to pass to mount!
Kartel really wants to buck Fortez off and get back to his feet.

Kartel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fortez is working away from the top position though.
Kartel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fortez is pressing down on Kartel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kartel is holding on for now.
Kartel pushes Fortez off looking to stand but Fortez dives back in and keeps control.

Fortez is thwarting Kartel's attempts to control the position.
Fortez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kartel moves into full guard.
Kartel wants to sweep here but Fortez controlling him for the moment.
Fortez trying to control the position from guard on top but Kartel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kartel is trying to keep Fortez in close.

Fortez sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Kartel doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Fortez paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Kartel - great work!
