And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Runkle!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauzon has his takedown stuffed
and Runkle counters with a nice body kick.
Runkle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lauzon takes one to the chin there.
Lauzon shoots in but Runkle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lauzon could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lauzon has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Lauzon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lauzon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Runkle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Runkle scores with a hook to the body. Lauzon takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

enabling Runkle to counter with a crisp jab.
Runkle throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Runkle pushes Lauzon away with a front kick.

Runkle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lauzon backwards.
Runkle throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lauzon is breathing heavily.
Lauzon jumps guard but Runkle stands there with Lauzon around his waist. Lauzon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Runkle.

Runkle lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Lauzon to his knees! Runkle keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
