Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatton has chosen Da Rockwilder by Redman & Method Man as his entrance music. Jeff Hatton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vitor Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Hatton!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie defending well as Hatton loads up on a big left hand.
Hatton looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.

Hatton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Hatton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hatton stands up out of the half guard.
Jeff Hatton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hatton looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hatton tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Hatton from controlling successfully.
Hatton keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gracie's head.
Hatton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is working an open guard so Hatton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hatton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hatton is looking to clinch.
Gracie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hatton scores a takedown into full mount!
Hatton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gracie's face.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hatton thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
A nice elbow there by Hatton.


Gracie is rocked!
Hatton looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Gracie covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeff Hatton!
