The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fay drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
William is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Fay is staying tight to William's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Fay wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by William, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fay working the body and head with strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fay wants to lay and pray for a moment but William keeps working.
Fay misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Fay wants to control but William is keeping him busy.

Fay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fay takes a little break here. William wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Fay in side control lands a decent elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fay in side control, throwing shots but William defends.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fay sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but William is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Fay lands some shots froms side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fay wants to control but William is keeping him busy.
Fay cracks William with a big elbow.
Fay scoring with punches and elbows.
William prevents Fay from improving position.

Fay wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by William, who protects the arm well.
Fay controlling the position from side mount.

Fay has hold of William's arm. He's looking for a kimura. William seems comfortable defending it but Fay has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! William is real pain and he's forced to tap out! William is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fay couldn't care less - he's delighted!
