Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Angelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sosa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. HELLUVA LIFE kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mauricio Sosa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mauricio Sosa!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sosa's waist but Sosa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Angelo off to one side.
Angelo shoots in but no luck this time.

Sosa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sosa wants it to stay on the feet.

Angelo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sosa tries to avoid it but Angelo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sosa to the ground. Sosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Angelo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sosa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Angelo.

Angelo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sosa is just riding it out for now. Angelo eventually gives up the hold.
Sosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angelo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Angelo will probably get the nod.

Sosa feints and then cracks Angelo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Angelo down.
