Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Logan Smart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarco Cobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Demarco Cobbs enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobbs throws a nice looking combination but Smart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cobbs scores with a decent looking hook.
Cobbs just misses with a punch to the body.
Cobbs stuffs the takedown attempt from Smart. Smart gets slowly back to his feet.
Smart takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cobbs lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cobbs connects with a right hand. Smart shakes it off.
Smart blocks a head kick by Cobbs.
Cobbs stuffs the takedown attempt from Smart. Smart gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Cobbs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smart.
Smart walks into a left hand.
Smart shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cobbs as he jumps to the side.

Cobbs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Smart wriggles free and stands up.

Cobbs sizes up Smart with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Smart counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cobbs holds on and takes a little breather.
Cobbs tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cobbs is pulling down on Smart's head. It's preventing any offense from Smart, at least for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cobbs can do anything to dispel that myth.

Smart thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Smart wants to control from the top but Cobbs keeps moving.

Smart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cobbs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Smart swats away the attempt to clinch by Cobbs.
Smart shoots in looking for a takedown but Cobbs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smart's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Logan Smart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cobbs connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Smart closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cobbs circles away.
Cobbs scores with a push kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Smart crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cobbs - the referee stops the clock and Smart gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cobbs. Smart manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Cobbs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Cobbs counters with a nice body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smart shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cobbs throws a series of punches but Smart avoids them all with ease.
Smart drops his hands momentarily and Cobbs takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Smart takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Smart sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Cobbs scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Smart avoids the head kick by Cobbs.

Smart gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Cobbs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cobbs wants it to stay on the feet.

Cobbs is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Demarco Cobbs is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Demarco Cobbs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cobbs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
