Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Kimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lisser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimble's entrance music is Terminator Theme Song. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Kimble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Lisser!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimble throws a series of punches but Lisser avoids them all with ease.
Kimble avoids the body shot from Lisser.
Kimble throws a combination that misses

and Lisser counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lisser.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Lisser throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Kimble misses with an elbow strike.
Kimble swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kimble pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Kimble missing with knees to the body.
Lisser misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kimble throws an elbow but it misses.
Lisser lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


It looks like John Kimble has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lisser tries to bum rush Kimble with a series of wild strikes but Kimble uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lisser tries to close the distance and clinch but Kimble swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lisser avoids a wild elbow strike from Kimble.
Lisser lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kimble backwards.
Kimble gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lisser.

Lisser looks to throw an elbow but misses.

A nice left hand lands by Lisser.

Lisser will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kimble up against the ropes.

Lisser gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kimble avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lisser must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lisser postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kimble avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lisser wants to control from the top but Kimble keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lisser accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kimble walks into a straight right hand from Lisser.
Lisser lands a lovely overhand right.
Lisser throws a right and a left that both miss.

Lisser rushes Kimble and presses him up against the ropes.
The referee calls for Lisser to work.
Lisser lands a damaging elbow.
Lisser blocks an elbow strike.
Kimble has a couple of punches blocked by Lisser.
Lisser takes a shot to the head.
Kimble swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Lisser lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kimble backwards.

Lisser tightens his grip and picks Kimble up, before dumping him to the ground. Kimble manages to land in guard.
Lisser wants to control from the top but Kimble keeps moving.
Lisser trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kimble is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lisser postures up in Kimble's guard and throws a big left but Kimble blocks it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kimble not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lisser with a nice head shot there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lisser wants to control from the top but Kimble keeps moving.
Kimble is looking to stand up but Lisser isn't so interested in that idea.
Kimble will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lisser throws and elbow that misses. Kimble uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lisser's guard. Nice move by Kimble!

John Kimble has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Lisser stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A left lands for Kimble.
Kimble takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lisser shoots in and gets a takedown into Kimble's guard.
Lisser passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kimble is pushing Lisser's head away, looking to escape. Lisser manages to hold on to the position though.

Lisser creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kimble sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ground and pound from Lisser seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kimble on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Lisser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lisser unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Kimble! He's leaning against the ropes trying to keep his feet but Lisser is unloading with more strikes now! Kimble drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
