PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Ranallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penguin is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penguin gets caught napping as Ranallo dives in and scores a takedown. Penguin manages to retain guard.
Penguin is breathing heavily.
Penguin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ranallo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Penguin could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ranallo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ranallo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Ranallo lands a big head kick that sends Penguin tumbling to the mat! Ranallo takes a step backwards and waves Penguin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

King Penguin's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ranallo darts in and clinches Penguin up against the cage.

Ranallo has Penguin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ranallo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Penguin tumbling to the mat - Ranallo dives into Penguin's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ranallo sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ranallo passes Penguin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ranallo slows the pace down in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ranallo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Penguin!
Ranallo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Penguin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Jeez, King Penguin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at King Penguin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
