Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Severn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 50 cent ft mann - buzzin new song 2010 music video . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dan Severn was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Severn!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Severn which made him look bad.
Bob Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Severn avoids the head kick by Smith.

Severn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Severn controls from within his opponent's guard.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
It looks like Severn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Severn lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Severn's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith can't keep his opponent in guard - Severn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Severn looks to score some points with some ground and pound.


Smith is rocked!
Severn scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Severn is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Smith trying to control but Severn postures up.
Nice strikes from Severn there.
Severn slips a nice elbow through Smith's hands, connecting with Smith's forehead.
Severn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Severn seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Well, if Severn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Smith is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Severn scores with a couple of nice shots.

Still in half guard, Severn seems content to control.
Severn takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Severn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dan Severn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Severn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
