The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Honda counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Honda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Honda is pushing Silva's head away, looking to escape. Silva manages to hold on to the position though.
Honda is not content to let Silva control the position.

Honda throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Honda is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Honda but Honda pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Edmond Honda is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Honda digs a good hook to Silva's body.
Honda looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Honda misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
Honda feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Honda then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Honda lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Honda scores with the left hand. Silva knows he should have avoided that one.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Honda tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Honda to the ground. Honda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
