Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Gabel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kvasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kvasov has chosen Diskoteka avaria-Nebo as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Roman Kvasov was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kvasov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kvasov thows a body shot but no joy.
Good leg kick by Kvasov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gabel stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kvasov.

Gabel has taken the fight to the clinch.

and Gabel counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Gabel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kvasov throws a leg kick but Gabel checks it.
Kvasov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gabel feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kvasovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gabel sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Kvasov to the ground! Gabel dives into full mount looking to finish!

Kvasov is rocked!

It looks like Roman Kvasov has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kvasov is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gabel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
