Wayne is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Something in the Way by Nirvana. Ronnie Wayne is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Wayne counters with a one-two to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wayne. Cooper shrugs it off though.
A jab from Wayne finds it's way through Cooper's defenses.
Wayne lands a lovely overhand right.
Cooper moves to clinch but Wayne breaks away
and Wayne counters with a two punch combo.

and Wayne counters with a right hand to the body.
Wayne takes a kick to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cooper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cooper misses the shot to the body.
Wayne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wayne tries to land a front kick but Cooper steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Wayne counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cooper thinking.

Cooper with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wayne to score with a decent uppercut.
Wayne misses with a low kick.
Wayne keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cooper is breathing heavily.
Cooper has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cooper there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Wayne counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wayne throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wayne jabs Cooper to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wayne throws a body kick that misses.
Wayne tries to work over Cooper's front leg with a kick but Cooper checks it.
Wayne jabs Cooper right on the nose. Cooper blinks but takes it well.
Cooper takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wayne scores with a body shot.
Cooper checks the leg kick nicely there.

Cooper wants to clinch
and Wayne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cooper walks into a straight right hand from Wayne.
Cooper walks into a jab.
Ronnie Wayne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wayne motions for Cooper to come forward. Wayne throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wayne thuds a left hand into Cooper's body.
Wayne closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Wayne connects with the punch.
Wayne scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wayne jabs at Cooper's body.
Wayne lands with a right hand.
Jhony Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wayne throws out a powerful jab.
Wayne feints a jab promting Cooper to slip. Wayne then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cooper slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Cooper is rocked!
Cooper takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Oh Cooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cooper throws a wild hook but Wayne just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Cooper gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Wayne raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronnie Wayne!
