Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benson Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Shurk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson comes to the cage accompanied by Til I Collapse. Shurk is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Achy Breaky Heart. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson misses with a takedown attempt
and Shurk counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown but Shurk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A head kick by Henderson misses
and Shurk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Henderson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

It looks like Shawn Shurk has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Henderson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benson Henderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henderson lands a head shot.
Shurk blocks the body kick.
Benson Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henderson misses with a low kick.
Henderson moves out of range as Shurk strikes.
Henderson fails with the takedown

and Shurk counters with a single leg into guard. Henderson didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shurk wants to control from the top but Henderson keeps moving.
Shurk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like Shurk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Shawn Shurk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Shurk looking to score a takedown here. Henderson is defending well but Shurk drives through and ends up in Henderson's guard.

Henderson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Shurk is defending well. Henderson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Shurk has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Henderson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
