Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between mike spears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). spears comes to the cage accompanied by dead and gone. Lara has chosen 'I Stand Alone' by Godsmack as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

spears tries to clinch but Lara moves out of range.

spears goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lara punishes spears's body with a nice straight punch.

Lara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but spears moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

spears controls Lara momentarily but Lara frees himself.

Lara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with spears. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lara wants to control but spears is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Lara is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of spears's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take spears's back!

spears has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lara is working away from the top position though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
spears manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
spears is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lara can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Lara wants to control but spears is having none of it.

spears is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! spears extends the arm and Lara is forced to tap!
