The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danzig misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rua fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Danzig manages to avoid it.
Danzig bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rua is looking to land body kicks.
A jab from Rua misses.
A low kick from Danzig is predictable there
and Rua counters with a good, hard body kick but Danzig shrugs it off.
An inside leg kick from Rua misses.
Nice defenses there by Danzig.
Rua scoring well with a low kick there.
Danzig takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Glenn Danzig has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rua tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Danzig is able to avoid easily.
Rua scoring well with a low kick there.
A head kick misses from Danzig.
Rua works over Danzig's head and body with a nice combination.
Danzig ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rua moves away.
Rua throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Danzig misses with a two punch combination.
Rua walks into a straight right hand from Danzig.
Rua avoids a kick to the body.
Rua scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Danzig is rocked!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rua.
Oh Danzig is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Glenn Danzig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Danzig is breathing heavily.
Danzig fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rua.

Rua dances in with a quick combination. Danzig is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Rua snaps Danzig's head back. Danzig stumbles backwards against the cage. Rua steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Danzig's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Danzig just didn't come prepared.
