The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaara is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vaara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vaara shoots in but no luck this time.
Nyrkki moves in looking to clinch but Vaara pushes him off.
Nyrkki lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nyrkki tries to clinch up.
Vaara has his takedown stuffed
and Nyrkki counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nyrkki drops an elbow to the side of Vaara's head.
Vaara tries to kick Nyrkki off but Nyrkki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Vaara wants to control but Nyrkki is keeping busy.
Nyrkki lands strikes from half guard.
Nyrkki controlling the pace.
Vaara is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nyrkki pulls his head out easily.

Nyrkki lands with a punch from half guard.
Nyrkki winds up and cracks Vaara with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vaara wants to get back to his feet.
Vaara has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nyrkki is working away from the top position though.
Vaara is looking for a sweep. Nyrkki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Vaara is controlling Nyrkki's trapped leg to prevent Nyrkki from advancing to side control.
Nyrkki not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Nyrkki thows a huge punch but Vaara dodges it nicely.

Nyrkki is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Vaara is not content to let Nyrkki control the position.
Nyrkki landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vaara is trying to get back to full guard.
Nyrkki trying to pass the guard but Vaara defending well.
Nyrkki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vaara keeps working.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nyrkki tries to pass to full mount but Vaara defends it.
Vaara is looking to improve his position.
Nyrkki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kake Nyrkki.
Nyrkki gets a clinch.
Nyrkki fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Vaara changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nyrkki fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rauta Vaara. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nyrkki tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nyrkki throws a looping overhand right but Vaara ducks down to avoid it.
Nyrkki closes the distance and clinches.
Vaara tries to pull guard but Nyrkki holds him up against the cage and eventually Vaara drops back down to his feet.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Nyrkki.
Nyrkki stops a takedown attempt from Vaara.
Nyrkki lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Vaara or not.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nyrkki misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nyrkki lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Nyrkki lands a hook to the side of the head.
Nyrkki prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kake Nyrkki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nyrkki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vaara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That kick from Nyrkki tenderised Vaara's leg. Vaara is trying to keep his angry face on.
Vaara misses with a takedown attempt - Nyrkki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nyrkki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vaara fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nyrkki avoids it really well and circles away.
Nyrkki lands with a nice body punch.
Oooooh!!! Nyrkki has knocked Vaara down with a huge combo! Nyrkki steps away and waves a wobbly Vaara back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Vaara is rocked!
It looks like Rauta Vaara has been cut.
Rauta Vaara is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nyrkki has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Vaara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nyrkki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nyrkki feints with a jab and clips Vaara right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Vaara is sent crashing into the canvas and Nyrkki leaps in for the kill! Vaara tries to get to his feet but Nyrkki is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Vaara is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kake Nyrkki!
