Carnitine is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Doro Pesch and Udo Dirkschneider covering Breaking the Law. Larry Carnitine has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, D J Rich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry Carnitine!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carnitine misses with an uppercut

and Rich counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carnitine!
Carnitine is desperately trying to improve his position but Rich has a good base and remains in mount.
Rich takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rich tries to control but Carnitine wriggling away.
Carnitine tries to hold on but Rich postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rich stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Rich moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carnitine is looking to clinch.
Carnitine shoots and misses
and Rich makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carnitine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carnitine avoids a kick to the body.
Rich keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carnitine.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carnitine tries to clinch but Rich moves out of range.
Rich is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carnitine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Carnitine has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carnitine misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carnitine misses with a hook.

Rich gets caught flat footed, as Carnitine shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rich punching from the bottom.
Rich has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Rich looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carnitine is one step ahead there.

Rich is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Carnitine has his hands clasped together but Rich extends an breaks Carnitine's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rich.
