The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay looks to land a combination but Veiwus avoids it well.
Veiwus circles away from the clinch attempt.
Clay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Clay swinging wilding here.
Veiwus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Clay scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Clay darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Clay seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Veiwus should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Clay is thwarting Veiwus's attempts to control the position.

Clay decides to stand up.
Veiwus blocks a low kick nicely.

Veiwus clinches up with Clay and pushes him back against the cage.
Clay doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Clay changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Veiwus fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Veiwus dodges the punch combination from Clay.
Veiwus misses with a two punch combination.

Veiwus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Clay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Veiwus is pushing down on Clay's leg trying to pass to half guard. Clay is fighting to maintain full guard but Veiwus has managed to sneak the leg through.
Clay knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Veiwus on the ground.
Veiwus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clay with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Clay is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Clay is breathing heavily.

Veiwus stands up from half guard.

Clay tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Veiwus counters with a low kick, right behind Clay 's knee.

Veiwus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clay's guard.
Clay utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Veiwus showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clay will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Veiwus gets to his feet. Clay looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Clay lands a jab-cross combination.

Veiwus has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Veiwus prevents Clay from breaking the clinch.

Veiwus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clay moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Clay fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Horrible takedown by Veiwus or perhaps it was just good defense by Clay which made him look bad.
Veiwus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Clay connects with a nice cross there... Veiwus is looking wobbly and Clay recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Veiwus to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Clay jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
