Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Van Gogh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darius Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Thomas bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Van Gogh's head.
A left and a right from Thomas both land. Nice combination.
Van Gogh misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Thomas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Van Gogh slips a jab and a cross from Thomas.
Thomas cracks Van Gogh with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Thomas lands with a good body shot.
Thomas looks to land a right hand but Van Gogh moved out of range.

Van Gogh clinches up with Thomas and pushes him back against the cage.
Thomas is trying to break free.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thomas is trying to push Van Gogh away but Van Gogh has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Thomas working hard to break the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Van Gogh throws an elbow but misses.
Van Gogh tries to land knees in the clinch but Thomas avoids the damage to the body.

Van Gogh throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Thomas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Thomas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Thomas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
With the fighters up against the cage, Van Gogh throws an elbow but misses.

A frustrated look appears on Thomas's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Thomas's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

It looks like Darius Thomas has been cut.

Van Gogh misses with a punch to the body.
Thomas blocks an elbow strike from Van Gogh.
Van Gogh comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Thomas tries to break free but Van Gogh pushes him back against the cage.

Van Gogh keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thomas's efforts to push away.

Thomas misses with an elbow strike.
Van Gogh keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thomas's efforts to push away.
Van Gogh struggles to land a body shot inside as Thomas controls his hands.
The referee is keeping an eye on Thomas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Thomas blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thomas avoids the elbow strike from Van Gogh, against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darius Thomas dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Van Gogh takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Thomas lands a two punch combo.
Thomas looks to land a left hand but Van Gogh moved out of range nicely.
Thomas checks the leg kick nicely there.
A jab from Van Gogh misses.
Van Gogh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Van Gogh finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Van Gogh takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A combination from Thomas does no damage.
Thomas has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Van Gogh was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Thomas sizes up Van Gogh with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Darius Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Van Gogh misses with a body shot.
Thomas scores with a sloppy right hand. Van Gogh should have avoided that one.

Van Gogh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas lands with an overhand left.
Oh Van Gogh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thomas pounces like a tiger and cracks Van Gogh with a vicious hook! Van Gogh is down but not out! Thomas follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Darius Thomas!
