Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rich Aces High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brik Holtik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Aces High might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Knock em Dead Kid. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aces High stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aces High wants it to stay on the feet.
Holtik throws a series of punches but Aces High moves out of range.
Holtik looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Holtik has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aces High is proving hard to escape from.
Holtik trying to control the position from guard on top but Aces High is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Aces High tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holtik was well out of range. Poor timing from Aces High.
Holtik shoots in for a double leg but Aces High sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Aces High pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Holtik back to the cage. Aces High follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Brik Holtik has been cut.

Aces High will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Holtik shoots in for a takedown but Aces High shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters circle momentarily. Aces High darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Aces High throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Aces High lands a leg kick that knocks Holtik off balance momentarily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Holtik.
Holtik tries to clinch but Aces High moves out of range.
Brik Holtik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Holtik counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Aces High seems keen to control Holtik's posture.
Holtik throws a strike but Aces High rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Aces High is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Rich Aces High just wasn't active enough.
Aces High stuffs the takedown attempt from Holtik. Holtik gets slowly back to his feet.
Holtik shoots in and drives through. Aces High sprawls well.

Holtik fails with a takedown attempt.
Aces High lands with a hook. Holtik tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Holtik changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aces High tries to avoid it but Holtik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aces High to the ground. Aces High escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aces High misses with a head kick.
Holtik has managed to clinch.
Aces High escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aces High lands with a kick to the temple. Holtik shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Holtik.
Aces High lands a left and a right that send Holtik crashing to the mat, dazed. Aces High thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Holtik is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Aces High measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Holtik! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
