Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bolo Yeung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ferrante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yeung comes to the cage accompanied by Everything in it's right place. Adam Ferrante is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bolo Yeung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Ferrante!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferrante decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ferrante wants to pass the guard but Yeung is defending well.

Yeung looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Yeung gets back to full guard.

Yeung had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferrante defends it easily.
Ferrante has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yeung is proving hard to escape from.
Yeung is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ferrante is looking to stand up but Yeung won't let him.

Yeung working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferrante doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferrante manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ferrante would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Yeung has his foot on Ferrante's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferrante works his way back into a safe position though.

Ferrante got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yeung has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ferrante has managed to get both his arms back between Yeung's legs - danger averted.
Yeung has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ferrante has passed into side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ferrante fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Ferrante closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ferrante lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yeung is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ferrante is aware though and is defending well.

Yeung escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferrante gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ferrante passes Yeung's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Adam Ferrante has got the better of the ground game so far.
Yeung is looking to improve his position.

Yeung wants to control but Ferrante is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, if Ferrante is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ferrante accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ferrante stands up and waves to Yeung to follow him.

Ferrante is taking a breather. Yeung says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Yeung is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ferrante gets to his feet - Yeung follows without any prompting.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ferrante. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Yeung has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ferrante is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yeung.

Well Ferrante has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
