The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sobolev tries to avoid it but Gan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sobolev to the ground. Sobolev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sobolev throws a jab but it's blocked by Gan.
Gan looks for a takedown but Sobolev sprawls well.
Vasiliy Sobolev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sobolev throws the left hand but Gan avoids the punch easily.
Sobolev cracks Gan with an uppercut from hell and Gan crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Sobolev's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Gan is rocked!
It looks like Hoelie Gan has been cut.
Sobolev postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Gan covers up, he's hurt! Sobolev keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sobolev and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sobolev can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vasiliy Sobolev!
