The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Konrad rushes Yip Man and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Konrad jumps into guard, dragging Yip Man to the mat.
Yip Man tries to free his leg and advance position but Konrad is retaining full guard.

Yip Man thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Konrad controls Yip Man momentarily but Yip Man frees himself.
Yip Man is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Yip Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Yip Man wants to pass the guard but Konrad is keeping the position.

Yip Man drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yip Man jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Yip Man drops back, looking for a kneebar! Konrad looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Konrad looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Konrad!

Konrad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yip Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Konrad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yip Man keeps working.

Yip Man looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
