The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rayson moves into the clinch successfully.

Rayson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rayson is trying to hold Pitbull in close to prevent damage but Pitbull has managed to pass into half guard.
Rayson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Pitbull jumps into side control!
Rayson wants to control but Pitbull postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pitbull scores with the left hand. Rayson knows he should have avoided that one.
Pitbull tries to bum rush Rayson with a series of wild strikes but Rayson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rayson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pitbull fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pitbull swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rayson counters with a big head kick but Pitbull shrugs it off.
Carlinho Pitbull is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rayson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pitbull rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rayson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pitbull misses with a combination
and Rayson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pitbull's guard now.
Raysonis looking to pass into half guard but Pitbull pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Pitbull is in guard.
Rayson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rayson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Rayson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Pitbull tries to keep at a distance but Rayson has taken the fight into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Rayson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rayson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pitbull keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Rayson dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rayson moves into range and clinches up with Pitbull.

Rayson tightens his grip and picks Pitbull up, before dumping him to the ground. Pitbull manages to land in guard.

Pitbull is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rayson wants to sweep but Pitbull has passed to side control!
You can see the frustration on Rayson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
