Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Thomas Bader has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Thomas Bader seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ray Mercer!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader shoots in but no luck this time.
Mercer throws a series of punches but Bader moves out of range.
Bader is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bader looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bader dives in and grabs Mercer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mercer pushes down on Bader's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Bader. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bader wants to control the pace but Mercer is squirming around nicely.
Mercer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bader can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mercer is looking to escape.
Bader postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mercer looks a forlorn figure.

Mercer is trying to defend against the choke here but Bader has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Bader Tightens the hold and Mercer taps out furiously! Bader displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
