Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devon James!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James dives in and grabs Xystorophroi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Xystorophroi pushes down on James's head and hops out.
James misses with a two punch combination.
James is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Xystorophroi is just out of range.

Xystorophroi shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Xystorophroi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
James has a takedown stuffed.
James moves into range and clinches up with Xystorophroi.
James breaks from the clinch.
James shoots in and bounces Xystorophroi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Xystorophroi has control of James's left arm, preventing James from doing any damage.
James in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Xystorophroi has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle.
Xystorophroi working a defensive guard but James manages to pass into side control anyway.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Xystorophroi is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Xystorophroi circles away and we're back to standing.
Xavier Xystorophroi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devon James.
Xystorophroi lands a high kick!

Xystorophroi blocks a head kick by James.
Xystorophroi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from James.
James looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
James moves out of range of the body kick.
James is looking to clinch.
Xystorophroi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for James!
James has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

James is wriggling around trying to escape.

James is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Xystorophroi goes for an armbar but James turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from James.
James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
James stays in close to Xystorophroi's body and controls the position.
James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Xystorophroi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James gets to his feet - Xystorophroi follows without any prompting.

James clinches with his opponent.
Xystorophroi is trying to drag James to the mat but James just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
James decides to pull guard.
Xystorophroi wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
Xystorophroi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Xystorophroi, into his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James gets to his feet. Xystorophroi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devon James dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
James tests Xystorophroi's chin there with a solid looking shot.
James misses with a jab, cross combination.
Xystorophroi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
James throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Xavier Xystorophroi has been cut.
James dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Xystorophroi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James.
Xystorophroi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Xystorophroi misses with a takedown attempt
and James counters with a nice body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Xystorophroi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
James lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Xystorophroi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but James wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Xystorophroi tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but James presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
James scores with a couple of good head shots there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from James! Xystorophroi is out cold! This one is all over!
