PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spider Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randle Muckmurphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muckmurphy throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Muckmurphy.
Silva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A head kick by Silva misses
and Muckmurphy counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Muckmurphy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Silva takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Muckmurphy pinned against the ropes. Muckmurphy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Muckmurphy sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Muckmurphy is trying to stand back up but Silva is controlling him

Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Muckmurphy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Spider Silva just wasn't active enough.

Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Muckmurphy, who protects the arm well.
Muckmurphy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Silva stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Randle Muckmurphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A left and a right from Muckmurphy both land. Nice combination.
A swing and a miss from Silva.

Muckmurphy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

No joy there for Muckmurphy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Muckmurphy as he jumps to the side.
Muckmurphy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
