The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michel fails to land the takedown.
Michel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sedgwick swivels and escapes.
Sedgwick is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Sedgwick as Michel shoots in.
Mirko Sedgwick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chichel Michel.

Sedgwick looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Michel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sedgwick defends it nicely.
Michel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sedgwick is fending him off so far but Michel persists. Nope, Sedgwick circles away and we're back to standing.

Sedgwick lands a left and a right that send Michel crashing to the mat, dazed. Sedgwick thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sedgwick misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Sedgwick closes the distance and clinches up with Michel, looking for a takedown. Sedgwick pushes Michel against the cage but Michel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Michel swats away the attempt to clinch by Sedgwick.
Sedgwick shoots in but Michel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sedgwick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Michel pinned against the cage. Michel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sedgwick blocks a head kick by Michel.
Michel stuffs the takedown attempt from Sedgwick. Sedgwick gets slowly back to his feet.

Michel throws a lazy right hand but Sedgwick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sedgwick avoids the body shot from Michel.
Michel shoots in and drives through. Sedgwick sprawls well.
Michel tries to close the distance and clinch but Sedgwick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Michel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Michel is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sedgwick is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Michel.
Sedgwick dives in and grabs Michel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Michel pushes down on Sedgwick's head and hops out.

Sedgwick fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Michel pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Michel wants to improve his position but instead Sedgwick has moved into half guard.
Still in half guard, Sedgwick seems content to control.
Sedgwick could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Michel is trying to stand.
Michel is staying active underneath Sedgwick, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Michel is looking to improve his position.
Michel is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sedgwick jumps into side control!

Michel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sedgwick cracks Michel with a big elbow.
Sedgwick scores with a couple of short elbows.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Michel is looking for a sweep.

Michel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sedgwick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sedgwick pushes Michel off and gets back to his feet.

Michel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Sedgwick lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Michel!

Michel tries to reverse the position but Sedgwick maintains control.

Sedgwick working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Michel turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sedgwick off and cradles Michel's limp body as Sedgwick celebrates with his corner.
